So a few weeks back we shared the news that we'd crunched the numbers and that we would soon giving a donation to our chosen charity. For those of you who aren't familiar with our fundraising efforts, when we launched Sandy Cove Trading Company in 2013, we made the commitment to donate $1 from every Traveller Towel sold to environmental conservation charity.
This weekend we made the trip from Victoria to the Sunshine Coast to meet with our chosen charity. We can proudly share with you all that we have now donated over $1100 to Coolum and Northern Shore Coast Care. These guys do fantastic work across the Sunshine Coast including: coastal dune and bush regeneration, turtle monitoring programs, community education, beach clean-ups and other conservation events.
We formed Sandy Cove Trading Company in the quiet, leafy streets of Coolum Beach and we thought it was important to go back to our roots and give to a charity working hard to protect and preserve an area we have grown to love and treasure. If you get the chance to visit the Sunshine Coast, take a trip to some of its laid-back seaside locations and you'll see what i'm talking about.
Thanks a million to everyone who has supported us on this journey so far, you've been the essential component behind our fundraising ambition and we couldn't have done it without you.
